Module Nine

Today we looked at Scootle, Facebook and Twitter. Wow how things change! Scootle is fantastic as a resource for teachers. You have everything there to help you and resources you can access anytime. Facebook is great if you have t he time! It's great to catch up with friends and see what they are up to. Twitter is another social network that can be used to find out information straight away. It is good for business if you need to update or pass on information on products or messages.

Module 8

Today we looked at RSS (Rich Site Summary) Feeds which is an informative site with good links. I logged into Google Reader and added our colleagues blogs as a subscription. It is a very useful tool as i can get content from the web and send it to one spot.It's a great and easy way to keep up to date with other people and what they are doing without having to type in theri address each time.

Post Module 5

Module 5 is all about podcast, vodcasts and video. It was a very interesting session as we can use these in the classroom. The students would love to record and/or create something using this technology.The students could scan pictures from a picture book and then you could record the students retelling the story.This could be another valuable resource to use with the smartboard.
